Jim opened up the season with the Kearny Holiday Tournament; where Jim took first place winning all three of his matches. This past weekend the Gaels took part in the Bergen County Coaches Association tournament, which is one of the biggest tournaments in the state and one of the biggest in the country. Jim placed second winning a total of five matches making his record thus far 11-1.
"These two tournament experiences are going to be of great value to me in reaching my goal of placing in the state tournament," said Lombard. The St. Mary wrestling program continues it's winning ways with a lineup consisting of standouts Jim Lombard, his brother Chris Lombard, Marcus Cook, and Dom Rose whose combined record is 31-8.
