Welcome to Dr. Pat's Online Chemistry Lab. As we enter another year of the web site, many new and exciting things are happening in the world of science and chemistry. This is going to be reflected on our web site as well as in the classroom.
As our web site continues to evolve and grow, students and parents can look forward to an organized and systematic approach to our studies in chemistry. This site offers various features such as:
Communication is essential in any teaching environment, and this site is helping us to achieve that goal. As this is a college preparatory course, the material and course outline is geared to ease the transition into college. For students looking at chemistry or science as majors in college, this course will start to lay the chemical foundation for future endeavors. For other students not looking specifically at the sciences, it will give them a greater awareness of the chemical interactions that surround us. Either way, the study methods learned during this course can be applied to any course and future studies. Remember the old adage "How do you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice, Practice, Practice". An adage my parents used to teach my family is "How do you get to college? Study, Study, Study!" As we begin our new school year, I look forward to great things happening in chemistry and at St. Mary's. As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to E-Mail me at paiello@stmaryhs.org.
