October 22nd, 2008
The St. Mary High School Cheerleading Squad has kicked off Homecoming 2008
with a week of "Spirit Competitions." Each day, all classes will compete in a
variety of activities to foster school spirit.
The class sponsors are Ms. Buckley for the freshman class, Dr. Pat for the
sophomore class, Ms. Browne for the junior class, and Mrs. Mavrikos for the
senior class.
The judges for the week will be Ms. Paredes, Ms. Corso, Mrs. Cavaliere, Mr.
Sheridan, Mr. Galka and Mrs. Mitchell.
October 20 - Cheerleaders, representing their classes, will perform a fun
cheer for Morning Assembly.
October 21 - On Tuesday, each class will
decorate their hallway to show their Gael Spirit. The classes will be
judged on their creativity and theme.
October 22 - Wednesday is "Cheers for Charity Day". All classes will bring in
non-perishable canned goods. The food items will be donated to the Rutherford
Food Pantry.
October 23 - Show your
spirit! Students will dress in blue and white. Students can also purchase a
white T-shirt to wear on Saturday.
October 25 - Wear your white shirt to the game. We can then present a united
front, as the Mighty Gaels battle the Wildcats of Becton. See you at Homecoming!
