This past summer, Cecilia Hernandez was accepted into Harvard University’s Summer Program. Cecilia, an 11th grader, wrote four short essays to apply for Harvard’s program. Students from all over the world apply every year to be a part of this program and Cecilia was one of those lucky enough to be accepted. She enrolled in a Psychology course for 2 weeks, during which time she lived at the University. As a part of the program, Cecilia also participated in 8 extracurricular activities. Her favorites involved an exploration of the city of Cambridge and a visit to The Gardner Museum. After the program was completed, Cecilia earned a A- in the course and an experience, which she says, taught her a great deal about herself, her future dreams, and her abilities as a St. Mary student.
