The theme of this year’s Catholic Schools Week celebration was “Catholic Schools. Faith. Excellence. Service.” During the week, students participated in Class Wars. At the end of the week, the class with the most points have bragging rights for the rest of the year and an ice cream sundae social. Various events were held throughout the week. Students dressed up in clothes from different decades, and during the class period change, listened to music from the 60’s 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s.
On Thursday, February 1, the students went to Mass for the Presentation of the Lord. Br. Chris Hall, Assistant Superintendent, gave the homily.
We had Penny Wars taking place throughout the week, Family Feud competition, and an art contest. The students also had the opportunity to create lesson plans and teach classes. Catholic Schools Week 2023 ended with a volleyball tournament. When the week was over, the senior class won the overall weeks events.
The students also raised $550 for Saint Jude Children’s Hospital.
