Gerry Belloti is in his 15th year as Vice President of the Independent College Fund of New Jersey, has more than thirty years of fundraising experience including five years at Fairleigh Dickinson University as Director of Alumni Affairs and Executive Director for athletic fundraising and before that he was Director of Alumni at Manhattan College in Riverdale, NY for six years, serving 40,000 alumni and was their liaison to the Board of Trustees. He planned and coordinated all alumni events, developed a network of 25 regional clubs, and served on the Capital Campaign team in 1996.

Mr. Bellotti started his fundraising career in 1980 and spent nine years as Director of Development/Head Football Coach and Athletic Director of Saint Peter’s Prep in Jersey City, NJ.

Bellotti was a two time Football Coach of the Year in Hudson County in 1985-1986 where his teams won the County Championship and State Champion finalist in those years. He was elected to the Hudson County Hall of Fame in 1999 for his football talents at St. Joseph’s HS, WNY. In his senior year he captained the Blue Jays to an 8-0 season and awarded the team of the year in the tri-state area. Gerry Bellotti earned All County, All State and all catholic All American honors along with winning the Hudson County Back of the Year award in 1962.

Bellotti earned a football scholarship to Villanova University and started 3 years for the wildcats while earning his BS in economics from Villanova University in 1967 and earned his principal certification from Jersey City State College.

Gerry Bellotti was inducted into the St. Joseph’s Athletic Hall of Fame in 1990, The St. Peter’s Prep Hall of Fame in 2005 for coaching at Prep and in 2005 was honored as a Legend of Prep.

Mr. Bellotti serves on the Sisters of Christian Charity, Mendham, and Daytop School, Mendham, Golf Committees along with being a member of the Sobel & Company Advisory Board and the Saint Peter’s Prep Spirituality Committee.

He is married to Joan Marie and they have four children and nine grandchildren.
