On Wednesday April 9th, ten new members were inducted into the National Honor Society for their hard work and commitment representing leadership, character, service, and scholarship both in and out of school. The following juniors inducted included Aiden Prybicien, Beetzy Cuenca, Jaylene Echeverry, Marcelo Estevez, Athena Goletsos, Sophia McGonigle, Carly Sepp, Kealsy Silva, Arianna Tripaldi, and Alianna Vasquez. State budget season is underway, and we are advocating for an increase in nursing services funding. Legislators need to hear directly from parents and school staff that nursing services are important to them.
The NJ Catholic Conference tabulates message numbers and reports them to the NJ Bishops, which means we are in a friendly competition with the other dioceses for best engagement with the Legislature! As the largest diocese in the state, the Newark Archdiocese should be #1. Please help us to make this happen, not because of bragging rights, but for a meaningful increase in nursing services for our students.

St. Mary High School's Drama Club is proud to announce they will be performing Mama Mia! this coming spring, running May 2, 3, and 4. The students are working hard on building their sets, memorizing their lines, and perfecting their dances. Mamma Mia! is the ultimate feel-good show! This sunny, funny, international smash hit sensation unfolds on a Greek island paradise when on the eve of her wedding, a young woman’s quest to discover the identity of her father brings three men from her mother's past back to the island they last visited twenty years ago. Non-stop laughs and explosive dance numbers, along with the magic of ABBA's hit songs that include "Dancing Queen," "Take a Chance on Me," and "Thank You for the Music,". This enchanting show is a trip down the aisle you'll never forget! Also, the Drama Club will be hosting their Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser on March 20th at 6pm. Stop by and enjoy a dinner created and served by your favorite cast and crew. Spaghetti, meatballs, salad, and a bake sale dessert you won't want to miss.
